BBSsalvage.br is an ARexx script which will rewrite
an entire BBS system (or a single conference) in an
attempt to recover a database Thor can no more read.
I wrote this script because ValidateThor didn't fix
a problem in the database which made Thor to freeze
while trying to open a conference (you can read all

Because the deleted or unreadable elements are not
restored, BBSsalvage.br can also be used as a tool
to optimize conferences (smaller file sizes).


NEW in v1.4

- When salvaging an entire BBS system, the UserBase
  (Address Book) was not properly moved to the newer
  BBS.  The UserBase is now copied as well during the
  BBS salvaging process.

- Added another tool (UserBaseSalv.rexx) which builds
  a (plain text) address book from info extracted from
  a User.tags file.

- The copyback buffer mode is now used in attempt to
  speed-up the operation a bit.
