S O F T W A R E   Q D O S   E M U L A T O R   F O R   T H E   A M I G A


Format a QL (QDOS) disk and copy the contents of this archive onto it
to create a BOOTable QDOS support disk for the Sinclair QL emulator.


SUPPORT DISK FEATURES

* BOOT       - boot-up, load a RAM disk & install some toolkits
* PDTK       - Freeware BASIC toolkit with many TK2-like commands
* D68K       - SuperBASIC toolkit for disassembling files & memory
* NO_TAS     - patch over TAS instructions with Amiga-friendly code
* SYS_REF    - patch your progs to run when sys vars are relocated
* C68PATCH   - patch C68 programs to be COPYBACK friendly
* XCHPATCH   - patch PD XCHANGE for COPYBACK compatibility
* XCHANGE    - integrated wordprocessor, spreadsheet, etc... (patched)
* DOC2RTF    - translate QUILL DOC files into .RTF form
* MEMORY_MAP - simple program to display the QL memory map
* PLAY_MUSIC - demonstration of the musical capabilities of BEEP

CREATING THE QDOS SUPPORT DISK

Creating the QDOS support disk on an Amiga requires that the xfs
filesystem is mounted. XFS allows access to a multitude of disk
formats including QL (QDOS) disks. XFS is can be found on the aminet
in disk/misc.

The support disk can be created from a CLI as follows:

  1. Make sure that the xfs filesystem is mounted.

  2. copy QDOS4amiga3.lha somewhere convenient (RAM: for example)

  3. Insert a blank disk into DF0:

  4. From a CLI type:

       QLFormat -u0 -mQLutils -a
       DiskChange FD0:
       LHA -m -a x RAM:QDOS4amiga3.lha FD0:

  The QLFormat command can be found in the C directory of the first
  Amiga-QDOS archive (QDOS4amiga1.lha)
