This is an Amiga PPC port of Marat Fayzullin's Sega MasterSystem/Game Gear
emulator, MasterGear. Some changes had to be made to make it run fast on a
PPC Amiga. And, believe me, it is fast!


After starting MasterGearPPC, a control window appears. Here you can setup
MasterGearPPC. The settings include:

ROM name        File name of ROM image to be started
VBlank period   Number of operations between vertical blank interrupts.
                Should be 8000, change only if display gets distorted.
Update period   Update every nth frame. Defaults to 1, change if emulator
                gets too slow.
Input           Joystick or CD³² gamepad
Auto A          Autofire for button A
Auto B          Autofire for button B
Machine         Machine to be emulated (SMS or GG)
Country         English or Japanese mode
Delay           Delay VRAM reads. Activate to get a bit closer to original
                machine behaviour.
Save CPU        Set CPUs into Wait status if window is not activated
Save game       Load saved game at beginning and save game status at exit
Display         Window on default PubScreen or custom screen
Screen mode     Mode ID for custom screen

Notes:
- On AGA systems not equipped with a graphics card, install CyberGraphX AGA
  and select a CGXAGA mode.
- To use joystick or gamepad, you need lowlevel.library v40 (OS3.1).
  Otherwise you can only use the keyboard.

Gamepad keys:
Red:            Button A
Blue:           Button B
Green:          Swap buttons a and B
Yellow:         Help
Play/Pause:     Start

From V1.4 on, the settings are saved to PROGDIR:MG.prefs.



You can pack your ROM images with the well-known XPK packers as MasterGearPPC
automatically detects and decrunches XPK files. (Note: Do not pack .sav files,
these are the saved games and MUST NOT be compressed!)



Of course, you need original ROMs to start MasterGear. And NO, I won't give
any ROMs to anyone. Read out your Sega cartridges with a ROM reader or
search the internet or whatever...



Some games use button A as main fire button and some use button B. The buttons
can be swapped by pressing F1. Please notice that your joystick's fire button
is always identical to the CTRL button and SPACE is always the other button.
