WELCOME TO THE PAGESTREAM 3.0h FREE UPDATE!

There are two files in this update. You must download and decompress
both PGS3H1.LHA and PGS3H2.LHA before you can use this update.

This update requires disk 1 of your original PageStream3 disk set.
It will not be modified by the update.

You must have sufficient free hard drive space to use this patch. 3MB
of free space is recommended.

This update requires that PageStream 3.0g be installed on your hard
drive. If you have an older version, you must upgrade to 3.0g before
you can upgrade to 3.0h. The files required to upgrade to 3.0g from
3.0f are PGS3G1.LHA and PGS3G2.LHA. The files required to upgrade to
3.0f from previous versions are:

- 3.0 ->3.0f: PGS3F.LHA & PGS30F.LHA

- 3.0a->3.0f: PGS3F.LHA & PGS3AF.LHA

- 3.0b->3.0f: PGS3F.LHA & PGS3BF.LHA

- 3.0c->3.0f: PGS3F.LHA & PGS3CF.LHA

- 3.0d->3.0f: PGS3F.LHA & PGS3DF.LHA

- 3.0e->3.0f: PGS3EF.LHA

If you're not sure what version of PageStream3 you have installed,
run it and check the version number in the Navigator requester.


USING THIS PATCH
----------------

Once you have 3.0g correctly installed, decompress PGS3H1.LHA and
PGS3H2.LHA to the same directory. Decompress them both to RAM: if
you have sufficient memory.

IF YOU HAVE 5MB OR MORE OF RAM, you can decompress the archives to
RAM and not worry about memory limitations.

IF YOU HAVE 4MB OF RAM, you can decompress the archives to RAM, but
you must delete the archives from RAM before running the patch.
(Copy them somewhere safe in case you need them again!)

IF YOU HAVE 3MB OF RAM, you cannot decompress the archives to RAM.
Decompress them to your hard drive.

A drawer called "3.0hUpdate" will be created when you decompress the
patches. Both archives contain this Read.1st! file, so your
decompression program will ask if you it is ok to overwrite the
first Read.1st! file; this is normal. Double click on the
Install-PageStream3.0h icon in this drawer to begin.

YOU SHOULD KEEP A COPY OF THE PATCH FILES UNTIL AFTER YOU HAVE
SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED THIS UPDATE IN CASE YOU NEED TO RUN IT AGAIN
OR MANUALLY. IF YOU DELETE THEM AFTER DECOMPRESSING THEM, AND
SOMETHING GOES WRONG DURING PATCHING, YOU WILL HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THEM
AGAIN!

TECHNICAL NOTES: this update will patch the PageStream3, BME and
PageLiner program files in your PageStream3: directory. Every other
file changed from 3.0g is included.

LOW MEMORY NOTES: If you do not have enough memory to install this
patch (the SAS patch utility will fail if there is not enough free
memory), you can conserve memory by decompressing the patch archives
to your hard drive instead of to RAM:. If the patch fails due to low
memory, you will not be able to use PageStream3 until you have
successfully installed the patch because you will then have a
mixture of 3.0h and earlier files. If you need to run the patch
manually, decompress the PGSpatch.LHA (or BMEpatch.LHA or
PLpatch.LHA files as applicable) archive found in the PGS3H1.LHA
file. Use the spatch utility from this archive. The command syntax
is:

spatch -oPageStream3:PageStream3.0g -pPageStream3.pch PageStream3:PageStream3

spatch -oPageStream3:BME2.0c -pBME.pch PageStream3:BME

spatch -oPageStream3:PageLiner2.0e -pPageLiner.pch PageStream3:PageLiner

The first parameter is the new version, the second parameter is the
patch file name (include the path if required), and the third
parameter is the currently installed version of PageStream3. Delete
the old version (PageStream3, BME or PageLiner) when you're done and
then rename the new version to the old version (ie, PageStream 3.0h
to PageStream3).

UPDATE OPTIONS: you can get the latest version of the PageStream3.0
disk set at any time for $10 from Soft-Logik sales.
