TO INSTALL
----------

This update requires disk 1 of any full PageStream 3.0, 3.1 or 3.2 disk set.
It will not be modified by the update. You must have PageStream 3.1 or 3.2
installed to install this tuneup.


WHAT'S A TUNEUP?
----------------

A TuneUp changes only some of PageStream's modules (libraries, filters,
drivers, effects, engines or scripts). This differs from an Updater, which
actually patches PageStream to a newer version.


CHANGES MADE IN TUNEUP #3
-------------------------

DOCUMENTS:
- Fixed the crash on loading of documents on 68000 processors.

TEXT:
- Fixed the out-of-synch dates with the Svenska language module.
- Increased typing speed by 3% (for basic text) to 25% (for shadow, reverse,
  or underline text).
- Increased text redraw speed by 6% (for basic text) to 250% (for shadow,
  reverse or underline text).
- Fixed the Insert Character requester "blank list" problem with certain
  PostScript fonts.

PRINTING:
- Fixed the printing of custom paper sizes with the Epson driver.
- Improved the processing speed for blank areas of the page for the Epson
  driver.
- Fixed an error with Floyd-Steinberg dithering in the HP and Epson drivers,
  and made slight improvements to the dithering and color conversion routines.
- Stopping printing with the Epson driver will now eject the page.
- Added several new models to the HP driver model list.
- Swapped the paper tray settings for the HP 5P driver.
- Fixed the landscape printing of skewed and slanted objects.

SCRIPTS:
- Corrected the Place Graphic At script so that graphics are placed at the
  correct size.
- Improved the Text on a Curve and Warp Text in Shape scripts (TextFX 2 only).
  Warp Text now allows you to select Bend Lines if desired, and more error
  checking has been added.

SCRIPTING:
- gettextobj reformats the text block, if required, before returning its
  coordinates.

MISCELLANEOUS:
- Fixed the crash on quit problem with 68000 processors.
- Fixed the tab past last text gadget crash problem with 68000 processors.

BME:
- Fixed the saving of black and white pictures as BMP.


CHANGES MADE IN TUNEUP #2 (which is included in TuneUp 3)
-------------------------

TEXT:
- Fixed the printing of applied default italics to PostScript when the font
  family has a real italic available.
- The Font pop-up menus display much quicker now. This is primarily important
  for selecting the Text tool when the Edit palette is open and many fonts
  are installed.
- NEW FEATURE! You can now append a fontlist file. To create multiple sets of
  fontlists for different projects, add the fonts you want, save the font
  preferences, rename the PageStream3.fontprefs file to something else, and
  then repeat as many times as required. Your default setup should be named
  PageStream3.fontprefs. When you want to append another fontlist, hold down
  Shift when clicking the Add button in the Font Preferences requester and
  then select the fontprefs file.
- Typing with lots of installed fonts should be faster now.

OBJECTS:
- Fixed the stroking of imported PageStream 2 objects.
- Fixed the stroking of imported ProDraw Clip objects.
- Fixed the problem with loading 24 bit IFF ILBM pictures that had CMAPs in
  them. (ie, Imagine-created files.)

MISCELLANEOUS:
- Improved the program startup speed. (The additional language modules slowed
  it down, but it is even faster than before they were added.)


CHANGES MADE IN TUNEUP #1 (which is included in TuneUp 3)

- Fixed the Can't find FranÁais module problem.
- Fixed the stroking of imported Art Expression drawings.
- Fixed the printing of Normal PostScript fonts to PostScript printers.
