INTRO

Hello my fellow Amigans! I didn't thought that I was going to release a new
version of this 68030 but I actually did. Thanks to the experience I gained
modeling the FPUs, I noticed that they actually looked better that the
processor. So I decided to completely rebuild the 68030 and relase this
major update. The body has been remade with the golden tick more realistic,
even the socket has been completely reworking using the phong function,
reducing poligons but gaining in quality and speed. As usual everything has
been done on a REAL C=Commodore Amiga 1200/030. No other virtual Amigas has
been used in the making of this object.

CHANGES IN VERSION 3.0

- Completely new Processor's body
- Fixed a bug in the serial side number
- Brand new lightweight socket
- Brand new lightweight socket's pins

CHANGES IN VERSION 2.0

- Added socket object
- Added pics of socket and processor socketed

THE PACKAGE

The package contains:

- MC68030.iob The processor object for Imagine
- MC68030SKT.iob The socket object for Imagine
- 68030iob.readme It's what you're reading now
- MC68030_1.jpg Image of the 68030 you just downloaded
- MC68030_2.jpg same as above but upside down
- MC68030_3.jpg Image of the socket showing processor's pins
- MC68030_4.jpg same as above but upside down
- MC68030_5.jpg Image of the 68030 plugged on the socket
- MC68030_6.jpg same as above in a closer view

REQUIREMENTS

I suppose I'm Captain Obivious when I say that you need an Amiga or WinUAE
with Imagine installed, right?
Ok now let's say that you will be very comfortable with 16Megs of Fast RAM
if you want to render the processor object. Combining processor and socket,
be sure to have at least 20Megs of Fast RAM. Be warned that if you're going
to render the pins you will need a very fast processor with math
coprocessor. So, as usual, a 030/882 both at 33MHz are the minimum
requirements.

INSTALLATION

Just put the objects in your favourite folders. They got no textures, no
brushes and are totally portable

COPYRIGHT

You're free to use the object for all the images you want.
The only thing I ask is to not upload the archive or any part of the files
contained in the archive, on other repositories.
I want to be sure that this object will be kept ONLY on Aminet because, for
me, it's THE ONLY Amiga's repository and main resource.
Feel free to contact me anytime.

Have a good one, and happy renderings.
C=Commodore Amiga rules!
