Note: the proper name is "Säkkijärven Polkka".
Säkkijärven Polkka was originally a finnish folk song, until some time
before 1939 (I think) a man named Lasse Lehtimäki arranged it for accordion.
During the war vs. Russia, some music was needed for radio jamming.
Somehow they choose this music, and it was played on radio for weeks
(or months?) over and over again. Of course, it became a no. 1 hit song,
one of the most popular songs of the time (along with 'Silmien välliin
Ryssää' :-) and even this day almost every finn knows this specific
arrangement. (The original arrangement is IMHO boring anyway.)
I didn't have any good accordion instrument (does someone?), so I just
used piano.
