Helllllloooooo To Everyone in Computr land!
This is my 1st computer muzik module and while I really like this song,
I hope you will too. After being bored by J.F. and such tunes as "Extatic
Acid" + "Trip on This" I thought that I should try to write 1 since I am
vastly more talented than Jov ;-) So I gave it a try and of course what I
produced was some of the best music I'd ever had the joy to hear. Too bad
that the program used to make such sweet noise was total junk that could
only be understood by the criminally insane. So I had to rely on J.F. to
help me write this tune ;-). It's a module in the style of a type of rave
music I call Transce music and we've caught the feel pretty well. I don't
have a modem (I don't have an Amiga either since I have taste) so if you
want to tell me what you thought of this you'll have to leave a message
to Jovian and I'll get back to you... if I feel like it ;-). So relax,
take the chemical of your choice and immerse yourself in the sound. Peace!
- Karen C.
We should all thank Karen for that lovely piece of text =). As
Karen mentioned she calls it Transce music, though this sounds sort of
suspect to me the name is supposedly a synthesis of the words, "Dance",
"Trance" and "Transcend". Clever as that may be, it's basically very
closely related to other types of rave music, such as Techno, though with
a slightly different feel generally described as Amibent. The BPM is a bit
slower and it's nice to listen to as an alternative to the hardcore noise.
As Karen indicated, it has kind of a trippy, druggy atmosphere. She's
also added a bit of an Eastern feel at the beginning which I find quite
pleasant. Enjoy the song, it represents a fairly substantial investment of
time on both our parts. Thanks to Roger for the sampler which he must be
missing by now. I should thank Tom Szymanski too, since, had he
not had a backup copy of this it would have been toast =). L8r all...
