This archive contains the development files for P96, the Amiga RTG
software stack. The archive is intended for end-user application
programs calling into P96 and its sublibraries. While the Amiga
graphics.library is patched to be able to support rendering on RTG
screens, the P96 support libraries contain additional features that
may be necessary for advanced features, such as rendering directly
into the video RAM of RTG cards, requesting mode IDs of RTG screens,
or creating overlay windows (aka "PIP" "Picture in Picture") for video
playback.
The Examples directory contains example sources for how to interface
to P96 directly.
Include contains the include files for C and AmigaE compilers, and
library offsets and headers for Amiga assemblers. Depending on the C
compiler, you need Include/clib for the function prototypes, and
Include/pragmas or Include/inline for the function pragmas for
directly interfacing to P96 without depending on assembler stubs.
Function prototypes for other languages are found in the Include/fd
directory in the form of an "fd" file. Function prototypes can be
created by the the FD2Pragma tool found on Aminet.
