                       "GODZILLA VS. BARNEYGAN"

DeluxeVideo3 MiniMovie by BRUTAL INSTINCTS MULTIMEDIA

IT BEGAN WITH A TWISTED DREAM..

Now, I dunno about most of you, but I personally dislike
Barney The Dinosaur, and let's face facts: It isn't just that
he's overly sugary and way too nice for our violent world:
It's the frightening Machavellian control he seems to exude
over our children. Me? I grew up with GODZILLA! So, it seemed
only natural to me to have these two prehistoric creatures face
off in a battle to the death.

         ABOUT THE MINIMOVIE

The animations were rendered in 32 color Lo-Res in D-Paint
(Electronic Arts), and assembled in Deluxe Video 3 (EA Agin),
The small snippets of music were composed by Akira Ifukube,
The man who gave Godzilla his own distinctive sound. All these
labours of love were done on an A1200 (God, I LOVE THAT BLOODY
MACHINE!) This, by the by, is my first project with glourious
sound! And, you'd best believe, it won't be the last, either!

FEW THANK U'S ARE IN ORDER:

Primarily, My Beloved Wife, and Partner In Crime, Rossana,
who graciously consented to provide Barney with a voice, and
helped me piece the whole thing together. Love Ya, Babe!

Also, quite a few of you folks on Delphi, who've expressed
interest and amusement at some of our earlier efforts. You guys
         and gals are the best!

The City and citizens of Tokyo, without whom Godzilla would
have no forum to express his viewpoints.

And finally, all those great folks everywhere who've fought the
Barney Invasion Hammer and Tong. This video is for you!

And now, Rossana will fill you in on the technical aspects of
getting this thing to run on your computer.

                        Thank you, and enjoy,

                           E.G. Robertson,
                          Co-Founder, B.I.M.

        * GODZILLA is a registered trademark of Toho Company, Ltd.
        * BARNEYGAN is not the real Barney, but an incredible
simulation developed through the latest advancements in
          cloning technology. ;)

---------------------------------------------------------------------

AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL STUFF...

In order to run this movie you need at least 1MEG of CHIP RAM. I know
that's a bummer to some users (it was to me) but it just squeaks past that
512K (and it's been edited and bumped down so it really was the best we
could do). If you don't have 1Meg of Chip Ram, but want to see the movie
anyway, the animations should be viewed in the following order:

BARNATCK1
JETSQUADRON
GEN.TAZAKI
BARNATCK2
GARRIVAL
GOJIANM1
GOJIFLAMER
BARNEYBURNS
ZILLASCORES

-----------------------------------------------------
                    SETTING UP SHOP

There are 2 files that make up this package, and they should be opened
unto 2 disks named as follows (or the video won't work):

Archive name Disk Name
------------------ ------------------------------

BarneyGan1.DMS GODZILLAVS.BARNEY
BarneyGan2.DMS GODZILLAVS.BARNEY2

It is non-aga, so it will run on any system, but you need a 2 drives or a
hard drive. To run it, place 1 disk in each drive, and open up the window
of "GODZILLAVS.BARNEY". Double-click "GVB.video", and enjoy the show.

                         HARD DRIVE USERS

Edit the script file enclosed in this archive called "Assign-BarneyGan" to
fit your own set up. For example, make a directory on your hard drive
called "BarneyGan". Then open up both archives to this directory. In this
case the assigns would be:

assign GODZILLAVS.BARNEY: Sys:BarneyGan/
assign GODZILLAVS.BARNEY2: Sys:BarneyGan/

Set your default tool in the "Assign-BarneyGan" icon for "IconX" or
"XIcon", whichever is your preference (default of XIcon).
To run it: after editing and saving your "Assign-BarneyGan" script, double
click its icon, then double click "GVB.video", and enjoy the show.

NOTE*: It runs faster on a hard drive, and also faster the second time
around (it loops). This is because the first time around it is loading
all of the stuff, but the second time, most of it is in memory.
                          FINAL STUFF

We really hope you like this video as we worked on it relentlessly (even
through the flu that smacked us both around :P ). Please let us know if
you liked it or not, and leave any suggestions, comments, requests to me
as "Rossana" at Delphi, or "rossana@delphi.com" on the Internet. I'll
make sure to pass it along to Ed. Thanks for your patience and support.
:)
