TCP/IP Sztos IMPBOX - bsdsocket.library 10.0
============================================
THIS REPLACES bsdsocket.library 9.0 for IMPBOX:
https://aminet.net/package/comm/tcp/bsdsocket
That was an experimental alpha. This is the full release, written anew.
Just put the new bsdsocket.library over the old one in LIBS:.

Internet on EVERY Amiga - no TCP/IP stack to install, no AmiTCP, Roadshow
or Miami, no network card. The network lives in the IMPBOX, a small WiFi
box on the parallel port. This bsdsocket.library talks to it. Programs
written for AmiTCP / Roadshow (web browsers like Amelinium, mail, IRC, FTP,
games...) just work.
From an A500 with a plain 68000 and Kickstart 1.3 up to accelerated
machines - any Amiga with a parallel port (or the IMPBOX Zorro adapter).
Requirements:
- a registered IMPBOX.
- nothing else.
Install:
- copy bsdsocket.library to LIBS:
- SX-32 Pro or another unusual parallel port: use bsdsocket.library.safe
instead (slower, safer handshake) - copy it to LIBS: and rename it to
bsdsocket.library.
WiFi setup - the IMPBOX makes its own access point:
- with no WiFi saved, or when the saved one has not answered for 15
seconds, the IMPBOX opens an open WiFi network called "ImpBox-setup".
Connect your phone or PC to it and open http://192.168.4.1/config -
pick your network, type the password, done. The access point switches
itself off once the IMPBOX is on your WiFi.
- or the classic way, from the Amiga, as the IMPBOX display tells you -
with the "imp3" command (IMP3: https://aminet.net/package/mus/play/imp3):
imp3 ibcs <your WiFi name>
imp3 ibcp <its password>
- a second (backup) network can be saved too (/config, or imp3 ibcb <name>
and imp3 ibcj <password>). The IMPBOX switches between the two until one
answers.
- once connected, the same panel is at http://<IMPBOX IP>/config - the
address scrolls on the IMPBOX display. Settings, display effects, info
and more cool stuff.
What you get:
- TCP and UDP, DNS, up to 16 sockets shared by all programs.
- Several network programs at once, and together with IMP3 - a slow
connect or name lookup never blocks the others.
- Ctrl-C breaks a waiting call, as with AmiTCP.
- IPv4 only. UDP datagrams up to 1460 bytes.
History:
10.0 - first full release.
